Kate does military chic
Kate Middleton showed off her enviable fashion - and legs - in her first military role as a royal. Wearing a navy military style coat from Alexander McQueen Pre-Fall 2011 collection, the Duchess of Cambridge joined her husband, who is the Colonel of the Irish Guards, to present medals to soldiers returning from serving in Afghanistan.
She also wore a emerald and gold plated shamrock brooch, the regiment's emblem, which belonged to the late Queen Mother. Princess Anne, the former colonel of the Irish Guards, gave it to Kate especially for her to wear for this ocassion.
And she paired the look with a navy fascinator by Rachel Trevor-Morgan and an Anya Hindmarch Marano blue clutch.
