Kate and William were at the premiere of the new Steven Spielberg film, War Horse. On the eve of her 30th birthday, Kate looked lovely in a lace dress by UK fashion house Temperley. She paired the dress with a black, possibly velevet belt, There was some speculation on the WKW Facebook page that this was the same one Kate wore on her visit to St Andrews University last year, and it definitely looked close. But as WKW fan Olympe pointed out, the belt was sewn onto that outfit so this couldn't be the same one. However, it also looks as if Kate carried the black velevet clutch she used at the The Millies in December.
The premiere at the Odeon Leicester Square in London, was in aid of The Foundation of Prince William and Prince Harry, of which Kate is also now a patron. Some 600 serving and ex-serivce personnel together with their families also attendede the film premiere and alongside beneficiaries of military charities, with the aim of raising awareness of the issue surrounding transition to civilian life.
The film is set during World War I and follows Albert, played by young British actor Jeremey Irvine, and his beloved horse. The film was adapted from the book by Michael Morpurgo which then became a play adpated by the National Theatre in 2007.
Kate's dress was confirmed as a Temperley design but it looks as if it is bespoke. I found TV presenter Claudia Winkleman wearing a similar dress back in 2009 - seen here below. Obviously the dress is different but the lace seems to be the same. Kate Middleton Style Blog and Kate's Wardrobe fan suey2002 also found a similar lace Temperley dress on website Yoox - seen here below.
There's also evidence of Kate's black lace dress in Alice Temperley's Pre Fall 2012 collection with this dress and jumpsuit although obviously these are different designs.
